These are conferred per Greek government upon Greek citizens who are distinguished within struggles for the Fatherland, to senior executives of the public administration, to eminent personalities of the arts and letters as well as to distinguished scientists or individuals world health organization excelled in the field of trade, shipping and industry. These are besides conferred upon foreigners who, due to their distinguished position & across their family worth, own contributed to the promotion of Greece.

Grades
A Choose has 5 classes: Grand Cross - wears a badge in a sash on the correct shoulder, + the star on the left chest; Grand Commander - wears a badge in a necklet, + the star on the left chest; Commander - wears the badge in a necklet; Gold Cross - wears the badge in a ribbon on the left chest; Silver Cross - wears the badge in a ribbon on the left chest.

Insignia
A badge of the Choose occurs as blue-enamelled cross, withwithin silver for the Silver Cross class, in gold for the higher classes, by having the portrait of the Goddess Athena and the legend "Ο ΑΓΑΘΟΣ ΜΟÎ?ΟΣ ΤΙΜΗΤΕΟΣ" ("Only the righteous should be honoured"). A reverse bears a Greek cross and the month of the Choose's founding (1975).

A star of a a correct sequence occurs as silver eight-pointed star sustaining straight rays, using the equivalent aformentioned blue-enameled cross in the midst, by having the portrait of the Goddess Athena and the aformentioned legend. A ribbon of the Choose is blue by using orangish edges.
